WoodsonElementary has one of the longest running Special Olympics Programs in Chicago PublicOur athletes are proud participants in Chicago’s Special Olympics.Woodsonrecently participated in the Special Olympics sponsored MedFest at the United Center, on December 6th, 2012. MedFest is an annual event where Advocate Medical doctors & nurses provide free sports physicals for our athletes, to clear them for participation in Special Olympics activities.Woodsonplans to participate in Cubs Care Softball in the Spring as well as in track & field events at the Chicago Spring Games. We look forward to a great year!
